Happy Sunday, Friends! ☀️
Have you ever noticed that you wear the same favorite pieces over and over again?
Most of us regularly wear about 20% of our closet while the other 80% sits there waiting for "someday."
👗 The dress you'll wear if the perfect event comes along.
👖 The jeans that will fit when you lose a few pounds.
🧥 The jacket you loved five years ago.
👚 The top you forgot you even owned.
These pieces take up valuable space and make it harder to see the clothes you actually love and wear.
Here's a simple challenge that can help you discover what truly belongs in your closet.
At the beginning of each season, turn all of your hangers backwards.
As you wear an item and return it to your closet, place the hanger back in the normal direction.
At the end of the season, take a look.
Those backwards hangers tell a story.
They reveal the pieces you consistently skip over.
Maybe they don't fit quite right.
Maybe they're no longer your style.
Maybe they require special care, special shoes, or a special occasion that never seems to come.
Or maybe you've simply outgrown them.
💡 Every unworn piece represents a decision you've already made.
You've tried it on and put it back.
You've passed over it while getting dressed.
You've chosen something else instead.
The backwards hanger trick simply reveals what you've been telling yourself all along.
A great closet isn't measured by how full it is.
✨ It's measured by how often you wear what's inside.
The women with the most functional wardrobes aren't necessarily the ones with the most clothes. They're the ones whose closets are filled with pieces they reach for again and again.
This week, take a look at your closet and ask yourself:
❤️ Do I love it?
😊 Do I wear it?
🛍️ Would I buy it again today?
If the answer is no, it may be time to let it go.
Keep the pieces you love.
Sell the pieces that no longer serve you.
Donate the rest.
Your closet—and your mornings—will thank you.
P.S. 💵 There may be cash hiding in your closet! We are currently buying summer styles, handbags, athletic wear, sandals, jewelry, and more. Bring us your like-new items and turn those unworn pieces into cash or store credit. If an item is no longer in like-new condition, please consider donating it to someone who can use it. Don't let great pieces sit in your closet collecting dust!
